Sue Swain played her District Oifficer’s singles match away at North Mymms Bowls Club against Sue Burbidge. It was a very close, and nail-biting game with the competitors tying at 7 - all & 13 - all. Then Sue Burbidge raced ahead to lead by 20 - 14. Sue Swain rallied, catching up on the penultimate end at 20 - all. The final end was so close that it had to be decided on a caliper measurement. Sue Burbidge being declared the eventual winner. What a match!

Staff at Everyone Active (EA) attended a team meeting which was followed up by a fun gathering at Batchwood Bowls Club. This was organised so they could say goodbye to Adrienne, the Assistant General Manager of Batchwood, who has been promoted to General Manager of Cotlandswick. The EA team was led by Craig Brown who has moved over to Batchwood as the General Manager from Cotlandswick. Four members of Batchwood Bowls Club, who joined this year, kindly volunteered to help the EA staff with scoring, measuring etc. They were Cliff Moore, Stephen Parrett, Justin Halls and Stan Redfern. Cliff and Stan played bowls to make up the numbers, Justin & Stephen helped the players when needed. Members like these are invaluable to clubs.
