PRESS REPORT 27th April 2026
Batchwood continued their winning streak with wins against both St Albans & Potters Bar. The first match played away at St Albans was a warm, sunny but very breezy afternoon. Winning on two rinks, drawing on one and losing the fourth. Batchwood won 58 – 53 overall. Top rink was Jackie Kenealy, George Tutt and Brian Parkes.
Batchwood played Potters Bar at home again it was a warm sunny day. Batchwood won on two rinks, drew one, and lost one winning overall 75 – 63. Top rink was Jackie Kenealy, Richard Cleal and Liz Schlatter.
Batchwood had a very busy weekend as they hosted Open Days on both Saturday & Sunday.. Many members were there to welcome the visitors and a number of people joined the club. Many have booked the FREE Coaching Courses which are available to anyone interested in taking up the sport.
A FREE coaching course is provided for potential new members and first year subscriptions are reduced. New members also receive a complimentary Club Shirt. All organised matches and casual roll-ups are free.
